Powering Hope: FIRMAN's Response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton featuring our F.A.S.T. Team

Integrity is at the core of everything we do.

At FIRMAN, integrity isn’t just a word – it’s the promise we make to our customers, employees, and communities. When disaster strikes, we roll up our sleeves and jump into action because that’s what our FIRMAN Active Support Team (F.A.S.T.) is all about. This team is made up of a few of our most skilled technicians to handle any kind of generator repair needed.

When Hurricanes Helene and Milton hit, we knew people would need help, and fast. So, without hesitation, our skilled technicians packed their tools and headed out. Their mission? Offer free generator repairs to those in need, educate folks on generator safety, and make sure every machine - whether it's ours or not - runs when it's needed most. It's not just about keeping the lights on; it's about giving peace of mind when things feel darkest.

On the Ground After Hurricane Helene: Two Teams, Two Cities

Our teams deployed to two Lowe's stores in Georgia - one in Valdosta and another in SW Augusta. Over the course of a few days, we helped more than 300 people. Some came with broken generators in tow, others just needed guidance on how to care for them. It didn't matter if the brand was FIRMAN or not - we repaired them all. In fact, only seven of the generators we fixed were ours.

Hurricane Milton: Feeding Souls and Fixing Machines in Boone, NC

When Hurricane Milton hit, our F.A.S.T. team headed to Boone, North Carolina. This time, it wasn't just about repairs. We brought food, too! Serving over 500 people hot dogs, donuts, and a variety of snacks and drinks to anyone who stopped by. We had visitors from all walks of life, some with generators to repair, others just looking for a moment of relief.

Surprisingly, only one of the many generators we repaired in Boone was a FIRMAN model. That didn't matter to us - we took the opportunity to educate everyone we met about generator safety and maintenance. The sense of community was incredible.

Beyond Repairs: Partnering with Ministries for Rebuilding Efforts

It's not just about showing up after the storm; it's about helping rebuild communities. FIRMAN is proud to partner with the following ministries and organizations that are deeply embedded in the recovery efforts: God's Pit Crew, MTN2SEA Ministries, Samaritan's Purse, TLC Community. We've been able to donate generators at no cost along with exclusive discounts to ensure people have the power they need as they rebuild their homes and lives.

Moving forward, Together

Disasters test us all - but they also remind us of what really matters: community, compassion, and connection. At FIRMAN, we're committed to being there - not just when times are good, but especially when times are tough. Because integrity is at the heart of everything we do.
